Responsibilities and key deliverables:

·               Led a team for a HANA global datawarehouse reporting solution implementation for a source system landscape which is diverse with different system capabilities and varied database schema.

·               Technically conversant in HANA modeling by creating attribute views for the master data, analytical view and calculated views for the transactional data. I have developed and enhanced complex SQL scripts in calculation views.

·               Mapped and transformed the data to a common standard and brought data together in a single global data warehouse for reporting using BODS and HANA

Responsibilities and key deliverables:

·               As part of PwC’s smart analytics solution for the utilities industry, designed an integrated SAP BI 7.3 and BO Dashboard 4.1 based analytics solution. It enables executives to react actively and pro-actively to make quick, actionable and fact based decisions

·               Developed an integrated solution that addresses key industry issues of transmission & distribution like outage and failures, circuit load and performance trends

·               Created multiple pre-built dashboards, scorecards and metrics with hyperlinks that offers quick insights to grasp the depth and breadth of an outage

·               Extracted ‘Generation’ data from Oracle using Data Services by creating dataflows, workflows, scripts, and jobs to perform data cleansing before loading it into BW system

Responsibilities and key deliverables:

·               Audited BI Reports and validated the Report layout requested in Functional Design with that of Technical Design and the Test document.

·               Verified if the Key figure calculations mentioned in FD are in sync with the report output mentioned in test document & if the testing team have tested all the Functional and Technical testing conditions mentioned in FD

·               Reviewed reporting requirements and technical specs to understand if there are any issues with how report has been developed and identified risks

·               Reviewed testing requirements to understand whether sufficient testing is performed to test the requirements and made sure report is working as desired.

 

Client: HANA - POC, PwC Internal

Role: SAP BI & HANA Report Designer

Duration: 3 Months – June 2013 to Aug 2013

Responsibilities and key deliverables:

·               Worked on the performance analysis of HANA (as a primary database: replacing BI) with BI. The Comparative study included data provisioning of 0.5 million sales records to HANA and BW

·               Created information models and queries on top of the information models in both the systems. We emphasized on the use of HANA as a primary database to leverage its in-memory calculation speed and compare the performance with a BW system

·               Created BO 4.0 Dashboards using both BI and HANA systems as the database to display the same

·               Performed data modeling in HANA Studio and developed Analytical views for the transactional data, Attribute views for the master data and Dashboards on top of calculation views (using IDT)

·               Compared the runtime of BW Query and HANA Query to evaluate the performance

·               We concluded that there is a significant difference of around 500% in the query processing time of HANA as compared to BW

 

Client: Ferro Corporation (Manufacturing and Servicing Industry)

Duration: 18 months - Nov 2011 to May 2013

Responsibilities and key deliverables:

·               Involved in end-to-end development solution for SAP BI 7.3 implementation with BO 4.0 reports

·               Extracted data from SAP SD, SAP QM , SAP MM & SAP FI
